I can’t review the first occasion when that I saw this replica watch. I recollect, …
The renowned Swiss watchmaker has updated its Angular Momentum Montre a Guichet Guilloche replica watch line with a model in titanium. To make the timepiece usable (no one wants a watch that doesn’t tell time, no matter how beautiful it is,) the Swiss watchmaker has done a pair of diamond cut apertures at 12 and 6 o’clock to display the revolving hours and minutes disks respectively.
As the original model, this feather-light version is presented in a 39.5 mm case, which is now made of titanium.
Instead of a usual sapphire crystal, the watch is equipped with a 925 sterling silver Medallion a Guichet cover with a psychedelic Guilloche “Soleil Inca” a la Main finishing.
Since the sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, the medallion is available in four colors of gold, silver, Rhodium and even purple Ruthenium.
To be frank, the solution still looks a kind of helpless compared to the gorgeous A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk mechanical watch with jumping hours and minutes.
However, a comfort time representation is not the watch’s main function. Like most fashion watches, this one is, too, more of a beautiful accessory, rather than a time teller.
Alas, the movement is not visible, since the case back features a Palladium-coated 925 sterling silver medallion and is skillfully engraved with foliage on the Titanium back.
